Rain, Sunshine & Cider

Looking Back at Our Autumnal Apple Cider & Hog Roast Day!

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect autumn day at Knockraich Farm for our annual Apple Cider & Hog Roast Day last week. True to Scottish weather, we were treated to a little bit of everything—sweeping rain, rustling winds, and glorious breaks of blue skies and sunshine. But no matter what the sky brought, the warmth and energy from everyone who joined us made it a truly wholesome Saturday to remember.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who made the day so special:

Wreath & Wild: A huge thank you to Jemma from @wreathandwild for hosting her beautiful autumn wreath-making demonstrations. Her creative designs were pure seasonal inspiration! (P.S. If you loved her work or missed out, Jemma will be back at Knockraich on 6th December for a festive Christmas wreath workshop—head to the link in our bio to reserve your spot early! 🎄)

The Cider Expert: Ian, our resident apple guru, captivated everyone with live apple pressing demonstrations, sharing his vast knowledge of orchard care, pressing techniques, and all things cider.

Live Music: Local band Track 7 provided the ideal rustic soundtrack to the afternoon, keeping spirits high with fantastic tunes throughout the day.

The Feast: A special shoutout to our chef Jamie, who served up an extraordinary slow-roasted hog roast alongside a delicious array of autumnal sides. 🐖🍎

Thank you so much to all our guests, friends, and families who wrapped up warm, sampled our cider, and celebrated the turn of the season with us.
